Debrief the day

pen and diaryDebrief your day.

Take a few minutes at the end of each day to review what you worked on, what got accomplished, what still needs to be done.

Make a note in the appropriate places about calls to make, messages to return and other action items requiring your attention.

This will allow you to leave the office behind when you leave the office for the day, without worrying about the proverbial other shoe dropping in your absence. It doesn’t have to take a long time, but it will save loads of time if you do it.
